As the founder, owner, and beacon of creativity & style behind Tigerlily's, Betsy Knapp's designing genius is the gift that she gives to the varied taste clients who visit her high-end design studio upholstery and fabric store. The self-taught home decorator/designer/doyenne opened her store in 1992 with her husband Bob Knapp. It is the fulfillment to a dream inspired by her own life with her house, a clapboard colonial in Greenwich, CT, as her muse. "The home is the centerpiece of one's world," says Betsy Knapp, owner of Tigerlily's. I believe that if a home is well-appointed, no matter the budget, you will always have a solid, self-created shelter from life's chaos.
Betsy runs Tigerlily's with her husband of more than twenty years Bob Knapp and her daughter Samantha whose pillow line sells exclusively in adjoining, La Maisonette. Tigerlily's is dedicated to high quality craftsmanship and service for its clients.

News travels fast-- any story that takes longer than two minutes to tell is over before it starts. I should know; I made my living telling stories as news reporter. My compensation was humble, but the experience was priceless.
The best interviews come from reporters that are able to get to the truth of the story faster then others. Before anyone will tell you anything, it is necessary for that person to trust you-- to trust you are going to retell their story without bias. That is what drew me to reporting, my natural ability to bond with others. I considered it a gift, and I used to make a difference in the community. One day it could be as simple as giving a bargaining tip and the next day I could be at police headquarters pressuring police to solve a murder.

Reporting will always be my passion, and in my heart. I found however, that there is more then one way to connect to people. As the daughter of the dynamic decorating duo Betsy & Robert Knapp, I laughingly say that I am genetically predisposed for creating beautiful accessories and living spaces. With a touch of their guidance and drawing on my inspirations, I joined my parents at Tigerlily's and created my decorative pillow collection, Samantha Knapp Atelier at Maisonettestore.com. Design gives me the chance to bond with clients on a personal level and build a partnership. Together we craft their living space that expresses my client's personality and best vision of themselves.
